It was a picture perfect day for as equally a beautiful event yesterday, as we celebrated the life and one of the favorite pastimes of Bob Winkley. Bob was a member for the last three years, but in that time, accomplished a great deal for the club. He was a board member and resident handyman. His wife Marilyn commented that he appeared to be on his way out at the time he joined, and that playing pétanque and doing all the things he did for the club, was enough to afford him a little more time. We are all fortunate to have been the recipients of such an extension and know that La Pétanque Marinière is a richer organisation because of his presence.
Click here to watch the slideshow from yesterdays' panaché tournament.
As an added attraction, our very own Swiss Miss, Verena Rytter, serenaded us as we enjoyed the roast chicken picnic.
