Petanque Party at Michel-Schlumberger

If your idea idea of a great sport is one that requires you have a wine glass in one hand —then you'll fit right in where that’s the rule at Michel-Schlumberger Estate’s Petanque Party, which takes place Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.

The fête features the new Pétanque Wines, which include sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and syrah; they will be sold at the winery only on this day.

In addition to standard outdoor pétanque, there will be an indoor version of the game and a bar-top version, too. If you are caught without a glass in your hand, you’ll be disqualified.

At 3 p.m., the First Annual Pétanque Wines Challenge will take place.

Admission to the party is $20 per person, which includes French music, beverages, baguette sandwiches and salads form Chloe’s in Santa Rosa and all the pétanque you can play.
