Marin supervisors this week approved a plan to construct a $109 million public safety complex, but ultimately it may be up to voters to determine where the structures will be built.
The plan approved Tuesday calls for the phased construction of two public safety buildings totaling 83,000 square feet and a 7,453-square-foot ancillary building on the east side of the Marin Civic Center, where a dog park and petanque court are situated. The new building would protect sheriff's dispatchers, emergency radio operations and the county's computer servers in a major disaster. more
